Fall is Here!
Hello Second Grade Families,
It's officially the season of Autumn! The weather is beautiful and we all can finally enjoy some much needed time outdoors! The season of Fall is such a blessing. Speaking of blessings, WOW, are your kids working hard in the second grade! Last week, the kids gave their full effort in all of their subject areas. They are becoming eager readers, mathematical problem solvers, scientists, and you can hear a pin drop during our religious formation classes. Here's to another great week at ACS! Grammar ~ Singular and Plural Nouns
Writing ~ Narrative Writing (True Story)
Target Skill ~ Story Structure, Author's Word Choice, Visualization
Math ~ The students will focus on Number Sense and Place Value.

Science ~ The students will continue their lessons on landforms.
Religion ~ The students will have lessons that focus on our call to be obedient for God.
The students will attend their monthly Community Prayer service at 8:05 on Tuesday, Sept. 26th, inside the upper hall.
The students will attend Mass on Friday, at 8:15, inside St. Gabriel's.
The students will pray during a variety of times throughout our school day.
Odds and Ends ~ If you have not done so, please send your child to school with headphones that they may utilize during our computer time. Also, please know that yellow "Friday Folders" are sent home every Friday. Please empty the contents of your student's Friday folder, sign the blue sheet to document that your child's weekly work was received, and then send the yellow folder back every Monday in your child's back pack. Thank you!

- IXL ~ This site will assist your child in their math skills.
- Your child's username and passwords to these sites are located inside their agendas.
