The Gift of Peace
Hello Second Grade Families,
Welcome to the second week of advent. This week, the "peace" candle shines on the advent wreath. May we all be more focused on the gift of peace during this holy advent season. This week, your children will continue learning about the lineage of Christ in our "Jesse Tree" lessons. Jesse was the father of King David from the old testament of the bible. God promised us that the messiah would be from the house of David. St. Joseph, who was the father of Jesus while he was here on earth was a descendant of Jesse. The roots of Jesus fulfill God's promise and show us that Jesus is the messiah. May we all look forward to celebrating the birth of our savior, our prince of peace!
Please continue reading to discover everything that will be taking place both inside our classroom and right here at ACS.
