  Hello Second Grade Families, Welcome to the last week of August!  Please know that there is no school this up coming Friday, as well as, Monday due to the Labor Day holiday.  Enjoy the extended four day weekend that lies right up ahead. Last Friday, your child took their very first spelling test.  Please know that your child's spelling test will be sent home as soon as I get them all graded and entered into the grade book.  Be on the look out for your child's first test which will be sent home no later than Tuesday. Last week, your children attended our very first school wide Community Prayer.  The children listened attentively and are aware that each teacher is looking for the one student that best exhibits the Fruit of the Spirit known as JOY!  Just think of  JOY as placing Jesus first in your life, the needs of  Others  above your own, and then meeting the needs of  Yourself .   Please continue reading to discover all that will be taking place both inside the second grad

  Hello Second Grade Families, Welcome to the second full week of school.  Your children are adjusting well to their new academic schedule, are learning our routines, and are understanding the second grade expectations.  Starting this week, your children will begin their Journey's reading lessons.  This means that your child will be coming home this week with a spelling list.  ALL of the children are expected to write down their full list of spelling words inside their planners.  Please be on the look out for this week's spelling list.  Also, below you will find the words just in case your child doesn't have their list of words for this week.
