President's Day!

Hello Second Grade Families,

Welcome back from a very needed four day weekend!

I hope that you and your families were able to enjoy the blessings of Valentine's Day and President's Day along with the amazing weather!

This coming Wednesday will be Ash Wednesday, and this will mark the beginning of the holy season of Lent.  The season where we Catholics embrace fasting, almsgiving, and praying as a simple way of honoring all that our savior has done for us.  Should you wish to read more on the purpose behind these three Catholic Lenten traditions, please click the link below to gain more insights.

  • IXL (Section I focuses on double digit addition with and without regrouping)
  • Class Dojo!  This site can be accessed each day to allow your child to gain insights on their behavioral decisions from the day.  The students will earn points that then allow them to upgrade their site's avatar and the site will allow the students to view social/emotional developmental videos that were viewed in class from that specific day.  It's such an engaging behavioral tool and it motivates and empowers the students to give their very best efforts each day.
